Hofstra University Athletics

The Hofstra Athletics Pride Club was founded in 1989 as an avenue by which alumni, parents and friends could invest in advancing the mission of athletics at Hofstra University. Dollars raised by the Pride Club directly benefit our exceptional student-athletes and dedicated coaches, providing critical financial funding that augments operating resources to support travel, equipment and programmatic expenses. As we continue to make the necessary improvements to compete for both conference and national titles, it is crucial for us to receive the support of our alumni and friends. Private patronage is the backbone of our program and any success our teams enjoy is made possible through your generosity. Your membership in the Pride Club helps us continue our winning tradition and, most importantly, enables our student-athletes to earn Hofstra degrees. Financial Structure
Eighty-five percent of a sport specific contribution will be allocated to the designated athletic sport/fund of the donor's choice. The remaining fifteen percent will be directed to the Hofstra Athletics Pride Club Fund to cover operating expenses.

Designated Gifts
Each sport has a designated gift account. In addition, there are designated accounts for capital improvements and athletic scholarships. Designated gifts are used for the program so designated by the donor.

Undesignated Gifts
Undesignated gifts are critical to sustaining Hofstra Athletics level of competitive excellence and are allocated to the Pride Club Fund. These funds provides the Department of Athletics the flexibility to address the most pressing needs of Hofstra Athletics and ensure our future success while supporting our student-athletes and athletic programs.
