Elon, NC - Daniel Torrillo and Noah Zeitzer led the Hofstra men's outdoor track & field team through the first day of Coastal Athletic Association Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship competition earning top-10 finishes in the men's 10,000m race. Torrillo earned the silver medal for his 29:58.64 personal best performance, while Zeitzer was sixth with a time of 30:37.99. 

As a team, the Hofstra men are in 8th place with 11 points heading into the second day of competition. Northeastern leads with 61 points after the first day of the CAA Championship from the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex on the campus of Elon University.

Callum Beach finished the 3000m steeplechase in 11th place with a time of 10:54.03. Abel Kipkemboi was 15th in the 1500m trials with a time of 3:58.36, while William Thu finished in 17th place at 3:59.11. Both did not qualify for Saturday's final competition. 

The second day of the CAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship gets underway on Saturday in Elon, North Carolina. The Pride will begin the second day of competition with the 4x100m race at 1:10 p.m.
