Milford, CT - Isabella Cardinal defeated New Haven's Leni Bischof in a three-set thriller to clinch the Pride's 4-3 win over the Chargers on Sunday evening in Milford, Connecticut. The Pride advance to 1-0 on the season, while New Haven drops to 1-1 with the loss.

Despite earning the doubles point with wins by duos of Aida Oviedo/Aryanah Kahnamoui and Sabira Mohamed/Isabella Cardinal, the Chargers battled back in singles play to win the No. 3, 4, and 6 matches. Mohamed tied it up at 3-3 in the No. 1 singles spot with her 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (1) win over Valentinna Ferrarini, while Cardinal clinched the 4-3 win for Hofstra with her No. 6 singles victory.
