Hofstra Returns To Action With Weekend Series At Liberty

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball team returns to action Friday when it opens a three-game series at Liberty. Game time on Friday is set for 4 p.m. with game two slated for Saturday at 2 p.m. and the series finale Sunday at 1 p.m. All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live statistics also available. Links can be found on the baseball schedule page of GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra enters the weekend with an 0-3 record after dropping three contests to open the season at No. 4 Mississippi State. The Pride has not played since Feb. 14 due to weather in the Northeast forcing the cancellation of a home series against Iona and a single game at Fordham.

The Pride are slated to start Sean Hamilton in the series opener followed by Grady Lacourciere on Saturday. Sunday's starter is to be determined.

The Flames are 3-3 on the season with a game against High Point scheduled for Feb. 25. Liberty opened the season by taking two of three at The Citadel and then won one of three games at home against West Virginia.

Hofstra is 4-5 all-time against Liberty. The teams last met in 2024 in Lynchburg. The Pride took the opener, 9-7, before dropping the final two games of the series.

Following the weekend series, Hofstra is scheduled for a road game at Marist on March 4.
