Hofstra Hosts Stony Brook Sunday In Regular-Season Finale With CAA Seeding at Stake

10/30/2026 7:30:00 AM

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team will close out the regular season Sunday, Nov. 1, when the Pride hosts Stony Brook at 1 p.m. at Captains Field in a matchup with significant implications for the Coastal Athletic Association Championship. Hofstra has already secured a postseason berth, but the Pride will look to finish the regular season strong and improve its position in the CAA North Division standings ahead of the conference tournament.

Sunday's game will stream live on FloCollege and Amazon Prime Video with live statistics also available. An online-only live audio broadcast from WRHU will also be available. Links can be found above or on the women's soccer schedule at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra (5-6-5, 4-1-3) enters the finale following a 0-0 draw against Drexel on Oct. 25, a result that clinched the Pride's place in the CAA Championship. Goalkeeper Lilly Bailey recorded a career-high six saves to preserve the shutout. The Pride is 16-5-1 all-time versus Stony Brook.

Stony Brook also secured its postseason berth Sunday, earning a 2-0 victory over Northeastern behind penalty kick goals from Lisa Muller and Emily Lemke. The Seawolves enter the regular-season finale with a 7-3-5 overall record and a 4-3-1 CAA record.

A Hofstra win coupled with a Towson loss to Drexel will give the Pride the top seed in the North Division. A Hofstra win or draw and a Towson win or draw will give the Pride the No. 2 seed in the North, while a Hofstra loss will make the Pride the No. 3 seed and Stony Brook the No. 2.

Sunday's matchup will also mark Senior Day for the Pride, with Alexia Bromfield, Jill Conlon, Alexia Des Croisselles, Sasha McTiffin, and Kendyl Peterson being recognized for their contributions to the Hofstra women's soccer program.

The CAA Championship begins Thursday, November 5 with the No. 2 seed hosting the No. 3 seed. The top seed gets a bye and hosts the winner on Sunday, November 8. Times are to be determined.
