Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's cross country team will look to capture its second consecutive conference title at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Cross Country Championship on Friday, October 30, at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York.

The men's 8K race will begin at 10 a.m., and live race results will be provided by elitefeats. The live results link, as well as a link to the CAA Cross Country Championships information page, will be available on the men's cross country schedule page on GoHofstra.com. Eleven teams will compete for the conference title, with an awards presentation scheduled for noon.

Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Vincent Giambanco announced that the ten runners representing the Pride will be Callum Beach, Seamus Egan, Jason Kerber, Freddie Kipkosgei, Brian Liebowitz, Braidan Logue, William Thu, Daniel Torrillo, Alex Walsh, and Noah Zeitzer.

Hofstra captured its first CAA team championship in 2025 behind an individual title from Kipkosgei. The sophomore completed last year's championship race in 23:01.6, the second-fastest time in conference championship history, before earning All-America honors with a 38th-place finish at the NCAA Championship. Kerber also returns after placing ninth at last year's conference meet.

The Pride last competed on October 10 at the Metropolitan Championships in Brookville, New York, finishing third with 73 points. Walsh led Hofstra with a seventh-place finish in 25:57.3, while Liebowitz placed 12th in 26:20.8. Logue followed in 13th at 26:21.1, and Thu finished 14th in 26:22.5.

The championship field includes Northeastern, which has finished second at the past five CAA Championships after winning the title in 2020, and Stony Brook, which captured three straight championships from 2022 through 2024. William & Mary, which won 20 consecutive titles from 2000 through 2019, has never finished lower than fourth at the meet.
