Clarke, Kancher Finish In Top 10 At Lehigh Invitational

Bethlehem, PA - Gavin Clarke tied for fifth and Hank Kancher placed seventh at the Lehigh Invitational at the Saucon Valley Country Club. Hofstra placed fourth in the 14-team field.

Clarke shot a one-over 73 during his opening round Saturday, which included an eagle on the par-5, 541-yard 15th hole and followed that up with a 74 (+2) Sunday for a two-round 147 (+3). Kancher carded a 75 (+3) Saturday and 73 (+1) Sunday for a 148 (+4). Eugene Kang shot a two-round 153 (+9) with a 76 (+4) and a 77 (+5) and tied for 24th place in the 78-player field. Charlie Ferrise tied for 29th at 154 (+10) following an opening round 78 (+6) and a closing round of 76 (+4), while Ethan Ju was 61st at 162 (+18) after an 80 (+8) and 82 (+10). Lucas Kozak, playing as an individual entrant, placed 75th at 172 (+28) with rounds of 84 (+12) and 88 (+16). Jason Silva, playing as an individual, finished 77th at 180 (+36) following rounds of 95 (+23) and 85 (+13).

Lehigh's Drew Golden won the individual title with a 143 (-1), while the Mountain Hawks won the team title at 584 (+8). Hofstra fired a team score of 602 (+26).

The Lehigh Invitational was the final competition for the Pride during the fall season.
