Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University student-athletes completed another exceptional academic semester, as the 21 Pride athletic programs compiled a department-record 3.59 grade point average for the Spring 2025 semester. It marks the 26th consecutive semester with a combined GPA of 3.00 or higher and the third consecutive semester with a record GPA for the Hofstra athletics department. In addition, all Hofstra athletic programs recorded a 3.30 GPA or higher for the semester, and 14 programs earned team GPAs of at least 3.50 in the Spring.

"This has been another tremendous performance in the classroom by our student-athletes," said Hofstra University Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. "Student-athlete academic success is one of the pillars of Hofstra Athletics, and seeing what they have accomplished in their studies is remarkable."

The men's tennis program led the department with a 3.87 GPA during the spring semester, while women's tennis earned a 3.84 GPA to rank second in the department, and volleyball finished third with a GPA of 3.74.
