Hempstead, NY - The 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Men's Tennis Championship begins Friday at Elon's Jimmy Powell Tennis Center in Elon, North Carolina. The top six men's teams, as chosen by a panel of conference administrators, will be competing for the conference title in 2025.
The fifth-seeded Pride will face No. 4 Delaware in a quarterfinal match on Friday at 2 p.m.
Hofstra earns its highest-ever seed at the CAA Championship this year and enters the tournament with a 9-7 record. Freshman
Noa Forste-Dinell leads the team with a 9-4 singles mark, while
Vincent Turina and
Matthew Garcia have eight singles victories each. In doubles play, Forste-Dinell and
Maxim Michaels have won six matches, while
Eñaut Garcia and
Josh Reynolds have teamed up for five victories.
Delaware (13-8) will make its final trip to the conference championship this year, following 22-consecutive appearances.
The tournament begins with two quarterfinal matches on Friday afternoon, both at 2 p.m. Hofstra will face Delaware in the first match, while No. 3 Monmouth challenges No. 6 Drexel.
Top-seeded UNCW faces the winner of Hofstra versus Delaware and No. 2 Elon will face the Monmouth/Drexel winner in semifinal action on Saturday. Both matches are set for 2 p.m. The championship match on Sunday is also slated for 2 p.m.
Admission is free for all three days of the championship.
