Stony Brook, NY - The Hofstra women's tennis team fell to Stony Brook in a 6-1 loss in Stony Brook, New York, Sunday night. With the loss, the Pride fall to 3-14 on the season and 1-4 in conference play, while the Seawolves improve to 8-10.
The Pride were unable to pick up wins in any of the doubles matches, leading to a Stony Brook point.
Deniz Soyer put in a hard fought effort at No. 3 singles against Stony Brook's Lorin Tilipman, but fell 7-6 (3), 1-6, 6-4.
Amanda Kadiri secured the sole win for Hofstra with her 0-6, 6-4, 6-4 comeback victory over Mila Charles in the No. 5 singles slot.
