Philadelphia, PA - Kyle Mosher went 1-1 during Friday's first session at the Wells Fargo Center and saw his run at the NCAA Championships come to an end. Mosher finished 2-2 at 165 pounds at the event.

In his first match, 16th-seeded Mosher scored a win by fall in 3:50 against Arizona State's 15 seed Nicco Ruiz. Trailing 4-2, Mosher was able to reverse Ruiz and in the same sequence get his shoulders to the mat for the pin. That set up a meeting with No. 9 seed Cam Steed of Missouri in the third round of consolations. Mosher fell victim to an early takedown and Steed was able to maneuver Mosher onto his back for the fall at the 2:15 mark.

The loss ended Mosher's season as he finished with a 19-10 record. His two wins at the NCAA Championships were the most by a Hofstra wrestler since 149-pounder Grag Gaxiola won two during the 2021 tournament.

Through three sessions, Hofstra is tied for 40th place with 5.5 points.
