Charlottesville, VA - The Hofstra softball team dropped a 12-1 decision to Virginia in the Pride's final game at the Party at Palmer Invitational at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Chelsea Villar went 1-2 for the Pride with an RBI in the contest.
Gemma D'Orazio scored the Pride's lone run after reaching base with a walk.
Hofstra got on the board in the contest in the third inning on a Villar single up the middle.
Hofstra will begin CAA play next weekend. The Pride travels to Elon for the three-game series beginning on Friday at 2 p.m.

- Today was the 14th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Virginia. The Pride is now 3-11 all-time against Virginia.
