Hempstead, NY - Hofstra and Fordham battled in a thrilling match Saturday afternoon at the Hofstra Tennis Courts, with the Rams picking up a 4-3 victory over the Pride. Hofstra dropped to 5-5 with the loss, while Fordham moved to 3-5 on the season.
Fordham clinched the doubles point but the Pride stormed back with wins at the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles flights.
Eñaut Garcia picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win over Philip Uhde at No. 4 and
Vincent Turina followed with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Ruben Russwrum at No. 5. In the No. 6 slot,
Noa Forste-Dinell defeated Andro Barrientos 1-6, 6-0, 7-6 (4).
