Hofstra Competes At FastTrack National Invitational

Staten Island, NY - The Hofstra men's indoor track & field team traveled to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York, for the 2025 FastTrack National Invitational on Friday afternoon. Members of the Pride competed in five events throughout the meet. 

Adam Gordon led Hofstra runners in the 60m dash with his time of 7.35 to finish 34th, while Nayan Chatterjee finished 42nd in 7.40, Steiger Devil was 58th in 7.50, and Greg Franzetti came in 83rd with his time of 8.09. Alec Padron represented the Pride in the 400m race and finished 104th with a time of 54.78, while Sameer Grewal competed for Hofstra in the 800m race and finished 79th with his time of 2:10.66.

William Thu led Hofstra in the men's mile with his time of 4:20.75, taking 32nd place. Jason Kerber and Daniel Torrillo ran personal best mile times of 4:24.71 and 4:33.98 to finish 42nd and 57th, respectively, while John Ortiz came in 61st place with his time of 4:35.94.

In the shot put event James Watterson came in 40th with a mark of 8.83m, while Philip Park was 41st with a mark of 8.52m.

The Pride will be back in action on Friday, February 14, for Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
