Abraham Longosiwa of the Hofstra men's indoor track & field team made program history on Thursday at the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championship with his second place finish in the men's 3,000m race. Longosiwa became the first runner in program history to earn two medals at the same conference championship with his performance in the 3,000m and the 5,000m on Wednesday from the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Longosiwa took second place in the 3,000m race with a time of 8:14.38, earning him All-CAA honors. Northeastern's Benjamin Godish finished the race with a meet record time of 8:09.96 to finish first, while runners from William & Mary and Northeastern rounded out the top-five. Longosiwa leads the department with six All-CAA performances, the most by a single student-athlete in Hofstra Athletics history.
Jason Kerber also competed in the 3,000m race and finished with a time of 9:06.58 to place 20th.
William Thu represented the Pride in the mile finals and beat his own personal record time he set the day prior to finish in 4:17.03 and place 12th.
Hofstra finished the team competition with 19 points to place 8th, while North Carolina A&T took first place with 185 points. Monmouth came in second with 146, while Northeastern, William & Mary and Hampton rounded out the top-five teams.
The Hofstra men's track and field team are set to open their outdoor season on Saturday, March 15, at the Stony Brook Snowflake Invitational.
