Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's indoor track & field team will travel to Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, for the Coastal Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championship on February 26-27.
Coverage of the CAA Indoor Track & Field Championship will begin on Wednesday, February 26, at 9:30 a.m. with the heptathlon and pentathlon events. The field events will begin at 12 p.m. and running events will begin at 1:15 p.m. with the mile trials. On Thursday, the meet continues with the remaining heptathlon events at 10 a.m., field events at 10:30 a.m. and running events at 12 p.m. to conclude the Championship. The medal presentation will take place following the conclusion of the last race on Thursday afternoon.Â

Vincent Giambanco announced that today that eight athletes will be representing the Pride at the CAA Indoor Track & Field Championship.

Abraham Longosiwa,
Alec Padron,
William Thu,
Daniel Torrillo, and
Zach Van Houten will be competing for Hofstra.Â
Beck, Longosiwa, Torrillo, and Van Houten will compete in the men's 5,000m race set for 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Thu will represent the Pride in the men's mile. The mile trials will be Wednesday at 1:35 p.m. and the finals on Thursday at 12:10 p.m. Thu boasts a personal best time of 4:20.27 in the mile race, which he set on December 13, 2024, at the Seahawk Shootout.Â
Padron will represent Hofstra in the men's 200m race. The 200m event trials are set for Wednesday at 5:05 p.m., while the finals will be on Thursday at 1:45 p.m. Padron set his personal best 200m time of 23.26 at the Vassar April Twilight on April 26, 2024.Â
Beck, Kerber, Longosiwa, and Thu will compete for the Pride in the men's 3,000m race set for 2:20 p.m. on Thursday from the Virginia Beach Sports Center.Â
