Lewisburg, PA - Hofstra went 1-2 at the Bucknell Quad Sunday, picking up a EIWA win over Morgan State around losses to Virginia and conference foe Bucknell. Gauge Shipp was 3-0 on the day for the Pride. 

After opening the day with a 29-9 loss to Virginia, which featured an injury default victory by Shipp at 133 pounds and a 10-6 decision by Matthew Waddell at 184 pounds, the Pride responded with a 54-0 victory over the Bears of Morgan State. Hofstra picked up four tech falls, two falls, and a major decision in addition to three wins by forfeit. Shipp had one of the tech falls, blanking Jimmie Jones by an 18-0 score in 4:01. 

The final match of the day was a 31-7 EIWA loss to the host Bison. Shipp had an 11-0 major decision, while Will Conlon notched his second win of the day with a 4-2 decision at 197 pounds. 

Hofstra will be back in action Sunday January 4 at the Journeyman Armbar Duals in Clifton Park, New York. The Pride will wrestle Princeton at 11:30 a.m. and EIWA rival Binghamton at 1:30 p.m.

-The 54-0 win was Hofstra's largest since a 56-0 win over Wagner on November 14, 2006
-Hofstra is 2-3 all-time against Virginia, 3-1 all-time against Morgan State, and 9-18 against Bucknell.
