Philadelphia, PA - Matthew Waddell and Will Conlon picked up victories for Hofstra in the Pride's 35-8 loss to No. 23 Penn Saturday at the Palestra. Hofstra dropped to 1-4 with the loss, while the Quakers improved to 2-0 with the win.

Penn won the first seven weights to build a 30-0 lead. The Quakers had five bonus victories over the first seven matches before Waddell scored a tech fall (20-5) over Xander Kuokkanen at 184 pounds to put the Pride on the board. Conlon followed with a 6-1 decision at 197 pounds over Martin Cosgrove to make it 30-8. Penn would close the match with another tech fall at 285 pounds.

Hofstra returns to action Sunday at the Keystone Classic at the Palestra.  

Notes:
-Hofstra is 6-6 all-time versus Penn.
-Waddell picked up his seventh win of the season and first tech fall.
-Conlon evened his record at 2-2 on the season.
