Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University student-athletes completed another exceptional semester academically, with the Pride's 21 athletic programs compiling a department-record 3.57 grade point average. It is the 25th consecutive semester with a combined GPA of 3.00 or higher and the second semester in a row that a record GPA was achieved. In addition, Pride student-athletes have a 3.47 overall grade point average. All 21 Hofstra athletic teams recorded a 3.22 GPA or higher during the fall semester.

"Another record-setting performance by our student-athletes," said Hofstra University Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. "While we are never surprised by their accomplishments, it is truly remarkable to witness the commitment to their academic pursuits and how they fulfill our mission to build champions in academics. We congratulate each of them on their success!"

Hofstra's men's tennis team led the department with a 3.85 GPA during the fall semester. The women's tennis compiled a 3.77 GPA to rank second in the department, while women's soccer was third with a 3.72 GPA.
