Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's tennis program placed seven student-athletes on the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes squad. Additionally, the Pride earned ITA All-Academic Team honors, with the second highest grade point average in the department. This year marks the program's 13th consecutive year of earning ITA All-Academic Team accolades.

Matthew Garcia, Ostap Kovalenko, Jonathan Mahrt Guyou, Hideki Matsuoka, Kaita Odani, Josh Reynolds, and Vincent Turina were the seven male student-athletes to earn the award for the Pride. This marks Kovalenko's fifth time earning the honor in his Hofstra career, while Garcia, Mahrt Guyou, Odani, Reynolds, and Turina have been recognized three times by the ITA. Matsuoka picked up his second ITA Scholar-Athlete nod of his Hofstra career.

A total of 1,059 Division I men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete this year, and 176 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
