Hempstead, NY - Two Hofstra track & field runners will represent the Pride at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field East First Round this week in Lexington, Kentucky. Sophomore

Jordyn McDonnell will be competing at the East First Round, hosted by the University of Kentucky on May 22-25.
Longosiwa will race in the 10,000m at 9:10pm on Wednesday, while McDonnelle will compete in the 3000m Steeplechase at 5:40pm on Saturday. Abraham Longosiwa's second year competing in the men's 10,000m race at the NCAA East First Round. He punched his ticket to the national championship event with a time of 28:47.36 to take second place at the 2024 Penn Relays. Longosiwa set a new program record with his time at the Penn Relays, which he had previously set at the same meet last year.
Jordyn McDonnell's program-record time of 10:20.88 time at the 2024 CAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships punched her ticket to Kentucky, while earning All-CAA honors for her second place finish. This will be McDonnell's second appearance at the NCAA Division I Track & Field East First Round, after she competed at the NCAA championship event last year in Jacksonville.
The qualifiers from the East and West First Rounds will head to Eugene, Oregon, for the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 5-8.
