Elon, NC - Eighth seeded Hampton won the doubles point and three singles matches to post a 4-2 victory over No. 9 Hofstra in the first round of the Coastal Athletic Association Championship from the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on the campus of Elon University.

Lea Forste-Dinell defeated Hampton's Mio Kozaki 6-4, 7-6 (5), and Dianela Rodriguez defeated Diana Starobudtseva 6-0, 6-1, to earn the two victories for the Pride.

With the win, Hampton will advance to play the No. 1 seeded Delaware in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m.
