Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's tennis team earned a 5-2 win over Adelphi University Saturday afternoon at the Hofstra Tennis Courts.
Jonathan Mahrt Guyou's 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 6 singles clinched the victory for the Pride.
Hofstra moved to 5-9 on the season, while Adelphi dropped to 8-3 overall.
Adelphi earned the doubles point, while
Josh Reynolds and
Kaita Odani defeated Thiago Negrao and Viktor Huckl 7-5. The Pride were able to hold the Panthers to only one other win at the No. 1 singles spot.
Hofstra is back in action Sunday, March 31, to face Wagner at 2 p.m. in Hempstead, New York.
