Flushing, NY - Kaita Odani defeated Francisco Gonzalez in a tight three-set match at the sixth singles flight to give the Pride the 4-3 victory over Queens College Friday afternoon at the QC Tennis Bubble. With the win, Hofstra moved to 3-6 with the win, while Queens College fell to 0-1. 

The Pride earned the doubles point with wins by the duo's of Ostap Kovalenko and Maxim Michaels and Josh Reynolds and Kaita Odani. Reynolds added to Hofstra's success with his 6-4, 6-2 win over Cameron Henricy at No. 2 singles. Matthew Garcia followed with a three-set win (6-3, 3-6, 10-8) over Tim Andersson at No. 3. Odani secured the match with his three-set win in No. 6, after falling 4-6 in the first set to come back 6-2 in the second. The deciding third set went the Pride's way with Odani defeating Gonzalez 13-11. 

The Pride returns to action for a CAA match up next Wednesday, March 13, at Delaware.
