Riverside, CA – The Hofstra University wrestling team split a pair of matches Saturday night, defeating CSU Bakersfield, 29-9, before dropping a 29-10 decision to California Baptist. Both matches took place at the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center on the campus of California Baptist.

Hofstra moves to 8-5 on the season with the split. The Roadrunners of CSU Bakersfield are 0-12, while California Baptist is 6-10.

Dylan Ryder, Ross McFarland, and Nikolas Miller each went 2-0 on the day. Ryder had a tech fall win over Santino Sanchez of Bakersfield and then had a decision victory over Hunter Leake of California Baptist. McFarland also had a tech fall and a decision on the day, defeating Chris Neal (Bakersfield) and Justin Phillips (California Baptist), respectively. Miller had two bonus point victories with a fall over Ryan Arrington of Bakersfield and a major decision over California Baptist's Eli Sheeren.

The Pride returns to action next Saturday in their regular season finale at Drexel. Match time is 4 p.m.
