Las Vegas, NV - Kyle Mosher placed eighth at 165 pounds as Hofstra concluded competition at the 2024 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Mosher is the first Hofstra wrestler to place at the tournament since Cody Ruggirello finished fifth at 149 pounds in 2014. 

Mosher started his day with a 5-3 loss in the consolation round of four to Drake Rhodes of South Dakota State. That sent him to the seventh-place match, where he faced No. 12 Brock Mantanona of Michigan. Mantanona, who was the eighth seed, was able to score a win by fall at the 2:53 mark. 

As a team, Hofstra had 11 points and tied for 24th-place in the 30-team field. 

Hofstra returns to action December 21 with three matches at two different locations. The Pride start the day at Columbia at 11 a.m. and then compete at Nassau Community College at 4 p.m. and EIWA foe Morgan State at 6 p.m. at Nassau.
