Hofstra Celebrates 2024 Midyear Commencement

2024 Midyear Commencement
Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University and the Hofstra University Department of Athletics congratulates the nine Hofstra Pride student-athletes who earned their degrees at midyear commencement on December 20, 2024. We applaud their tremendous academic and athletic accomplishments, and wish them the best of luck in all of their future endeavors.

Earning their undergraduate degrees were: Teddy Baker (men's soccer), Eoin Farrell (men's soccer), Joe Russo (wrestling), Simryn Desai (field hockey), Arden Wojtach (field hockey), Matilda Liljefors (women's soccer), and Michael Silveri (men's cross country/track).

The following student-athletes earned graduate degrees: Karissa Hough (field hockey) and Jack O'Malley (men's soccer). Former men's soccer student-athlete Nico Oberrauch, a May 2023 graduate, also earned a graduate degree at commencement. 

In addition, former Hofstra football star Marques Colston '06 delivered the commencement address and received an honorary doctorate in humane letters.
