Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University has been announced as the host site for four upcoming NCAA Championship events, the organization announced this afternoon. 

Hofstra, which was previously selected to host the 2026 Division I Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals, will add the following events to its hosting duties: 2025 Division I Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals, 2026 Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Regional, 2027 Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Regional, and the 2028 Division I Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals.

"This is an incredibly exciting day for our University and Department of Athletics," said Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. "We take great pride in hosting NCAA Championship events and are thrilled to add the Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Regional in 2026 and 2027. Shuart Stadium has become synonymous with hosting the Division I Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals and we know how great those three upcoming events will be at our incredible facility."

Cross country will take place on November 13, 2026 and November 12, 2027. Lacrosse will take place on May 17, 2025, May 16, 2026, and May 20, 2028. 

The Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Regionals will take place at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York. The Division I Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals will take place at James M. Shuart Stadium on Hofstra's campus.

This will mark the first time Hofstra has hosted the Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Regional. Hofstra has previously hosted the Coastal Athletic Association Championship at Bethpage State Park in 2018 and 2007. 

Hofstra has hosted the Division I Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals in six of the last seven years the NCAA Tournament has taken place and 14 times overall. The 2024 version at Shuart Stadium attracted a crowd of 9,086. With Notre Dame winning last season's national title, the Hofstra Quarterfinal site has produced the National Champion in 10 of the 14 years it has hosted the event.
