Milford, CT - The Hofstra University men's golf team won the team title at the SHU Fall Classic Tuesday afternoon with a three-round score of 901 (+37). This is the Pride's first team title since winning the Hofstra Quad Invitational on October 3, 2016.
Leading the Pride was
Jacob Vazquez, who shot a career low round 67 (-5) on the first day of play to finish tied for fifth at 221 (+5).
Charlie Ferrise shot a even par 72 in the final round to finish tied for 9th at 223 (+7).
Eugene Kang shot a 229 (+13) to tie for 16th, while
Joseph Giamanco tied for 29th in the 57-player field at 233 (+17).
Gavin Clarke finished tied for 38th at 237 (+21).
Yale's Will Lodge took the individual title with a two-day score of 214 (-2). As a team, Manhattan finished second in the eight-team field, while Southern New Hampshire took third at 902 (+38).Â
Hofstra is back in action on October 10 at the Adelphi Panther Invitational.
