Hofstra and Charleston Play To Scoreless Draw

Mt. Pleasant, SC - Skylar Kuzmich made four saves as Hofstra and Charleston played to a scoreless tie Thursday night at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point. The draw was the first of the season for the Pride.

Hofstra moved to 6-2-1 on the season and 3-0-1 in Coastal Athletic Association play. The draw snapped a five-game winning streak for the Pride, which is now unbeaten in six games. The Cougars are 1-6-2 overall and 1-2-1 in league play. 

Both teams had good scoring chances in the second half. The Pride had a shot off the crossbar, while Charleston's Grace Powell had a shot that Kuzmich made a nice save on with just under 15 minutes to play. 

Savannah Barron made four saves for Charleston. 

Hofstra continues its road trip Sunday with a 12 p.m. matchup at UNCW.

Notes:
-Hofstra is 9-1-1 all-time against Charleston.
-The Pride held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. 
-Charleston took 14 shots to Hofstra's nine. 
-Wiktoria Fronc led Hofstra with three shots.
