Hempstead, NY – After playing four games in five days away from the state of New York, the Hofstra softball team will stay in the Empire State to take on its next opponents. The Pride will trek to the Bronx to face Fordham on Wednesday, April 5, before hosting Towson on Friday and Saturday. First pitch against the Rams is scheduled for 3 p.m., while the series against Towson will open with a 1 p.m./3:30 p.m. doubleheader on Friday before a 1 p.m. single game on Sunday.
 
MSG Networks and ESPN+ will carry the live broadcast of Wednesday's game, and all three games against Towson will be streamed on FloSports. These links, as well as links to the live statistics, are available on this page and on the softball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.
 
Hofstra went 2-3 during last week's five-game stretch; the Pride won against Howard and North Carolina A&T, and they suffered defeats to Army West Point and the Aggies in a doubleheader. Meghan Giordano showed off her power bat with four home runs, including a grand slam, and 13 RBIs for Hofstra, upping her CAA-leading home run total to 11 and ranking her third in the conference. Haley Venturini was one out away from a perfect game against North Carolina A&T, but she still finished with 12 strikeouts in a one-hit shutout on April 1. Kasey Collins totaled five hits over the week, and Brianna Morse drove in five runs on four hits.
 
Fordham is 11-17 overall after splitting a four-game series with CAA-foe Drexel and losing three games in a five-game series against George Mason. Picked to finish eighth in the CAA, Towson is 17-15 overall and sports a 7-5 record in the CAA after sweeping Drexel.
 
Hofstra is 10-7 all-time against Fordham, while the Pride's all-time mark against Towson sits at 77-22. Hofstra last played Fordham in 2022, a 3-2 loss for the Pride, while they last swept Towson in the final games of the 2022 season.
