Newark, NJ - Hofstra won the doubles point, but the Highlanders of NJIT took five of six singles flights to post a 5-2 victory Saturday at the Naimoli Center. Hofstra slipped to 2-10 with the loss, while the Highlanders moved to 7-7.
Jimena Garbino and
Ananyaa Bhargava clinched the doubles point with a 7-6 win over Laura Wipfli and Shalom Salvi at the No. 2 flight.
Abigail Higgins and
Mary Madigan started the day off with a 7-5 win over Paola Menendez and Joleta Budiman at No. 3 doubles.Â
Bhargava was the lone singles victor for the Pride, posting a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 win over Salvi at the No. 4 flight.
