Hempstead, NY - The 2023 Hofstra volleyball season came to an end on Sunday as the Pride dropped a three-set match to Stony Brook at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center.
Izadora Stedile led Hofstra in both kills and digs with 17 of each.
Beatriz Alves added 36 assists and 11 digs for the Pride.
Hofstra sees its season end with a record of 18-11 and 8-10 in CAA play. Stony Brook improved to 16-13 and 11-7 in the conference. Set scores were 24-26, 22-25, and 24-26.
All three sets were tight with the first and third finishing with identical scores.
Beatriz Braga added 11 digs and dive kills, while
Chiara Cucco posted 11 digs for the Pride.
Ava Jackson had 13 kills for Stony Brook.
NOTES
- Hofstra leads the all-time series against Stony Brook, 12-3.
- Stedile led Hofstra in kills for the eighth time this season.
- Stedile reached double figures in kills for the 16th time this season and also for the 16th time in digs.
- The double-double was 12th of the year for Stedile and the 10th of the year for Alves.
