New York, NY - The Hofstra university women's tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regionals over the weekend at Columbia University. The Pride sent

Lea Forste-Dinell to compete.
Sabira Mohamed was the only Hofstra player to collect a singles victory in straight sets before facing elimination. In the round of 128, Mohamed defeated Sara Jakovic from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania 6-2, 6-3. In doubles matches, Hofstra fell twice to players from Fordham.
Hofstra hosts the Hofstra Invitational on Saturday, October 14, and Sunday, October 15.
