Hofstra Plays Yale To Scoreless Draw

New Haven, CT - In its first road test of the 2022 season, the Hofstra University women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Yale Friday afternoon at Reese Stadium. The Pride held a 14-3 advantage in shots.

Hofstra moves to 1-0-1 on the young season while the Bulldogs opened their campaign with the draw.

The Pride had several chances in the game including three consecutive shots on goal early in the second half that Yale keeper Maya Bellomo was able to save. Bellomo finished with four saves on the afternoon. Hofstra keeper Skylar Kuzmich was only tested once, midway through the first half, and was up to the challenge. 

Hofstra will have a quick turnaround as the team is back in action Sunday at 3 p.m. when the Pride hosts UAlbany at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. 

Notes:
-Hofstra is 2-3-1 all-time against Yale.
-Aimee Hodgson led the Pride with five shots.
-Leah Iglesias had two shots, both on goal. 
-Hofstra held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
-The Pride's last scoreless draw was against William & Mary on October 17, 2021.
