Uniondale, NY - With the sun just creeping into the Saturday morning sky from Mitchel Athletic Complex,
Nayan Chatterjee claimed first place in the 100m dash for the Hofstra men's outdoor track team.
A sophomore from Westbury, New York, Chatterjee crossed the finish line of the first 100m dash heat with a time of 12.15, a new personal-best for the Hofstra sprinter. He finished .4 seconds ahead of teammate
Alec Padron in second, while Nile Love placed third with a time of 12.65.
Jack O'Malley finished fourth with a time of 12.82, the fastest time in the second head of the 100m dash.
Christopher Adenjii also took first place for the Pride in the 800m, with the junior from Scarsdale, New York crossing the finish line with a time of 2:39.27.
The Hofstra men's outdoor track team returns to action on Thursday, April 28, at the Penn Relays and the West Point Twilight.
