Elon, NC - Seventh-seeded Hofstra fell to second-seeded UNCW, 4-0, Friday in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Championship at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
 
Defending champion and No. 2 seed UNCW moved to the semifinals for the 13th straight tournament. The Seahawks claimed the doubles point following a 6-2 win by Davide Innocenti and Reece Falck over Josh Reynolds and Kaita Odani at No. 2 and a 6-2 win by Dillon Gooch and Behkzod Rasamatov over Bo Cautaerts and Ostap Kovalenko at No. 1. 
 
UNCW closed the match out with three singles victories. At No. 4, the Seahawks' Gabe Hurtado got past Matthew Garcia, 6-1, 6-2. Falck edged Cautaerts, 6-4, 7-6 (5) at No. 1, and UNCW clinched the match when Harold Huens rallied past Josh Reynolds, 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.
 
Hofstra closes the season with a 5-10 mark, while UNCW advances to face No. 3 Delaware in the semifinals.
