Philadelphia, PA - Juan Manuel Sanchez's victory at No. 6 singles gave Drexel a 4-2 lead and clinched their Colonial Athletic Association victory Saturday at the Vidas Tennis Courts. Drexel improved to 9-7 with the win while Hofstra slipped to 5-9 with the loss.
The Dragons swept doubles before the teams split singles play.
Bo Cautaerts won in three sets over Xandy Hammit (7-6, 6-7, 4-3) at No. 1, while
Matthew Garcia picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Sanil Jagtiani at No. 4.
Josh Reynolds Matvey Radionov (7-6 (4), 6-4) at No. 5.
The match marked the Pride's final regular season match. Hofstra returns to action at the CAA Championship on April 22.
