Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to NJIT Friday at the Hofstra Tennis Courts. The Highlanders won all six singles matches in straight sets and took both completed doubles flights. 

Hofstra saw a two-match win streak come to an end and slipped to 4-10 on the season. NJIT improved to 10-7 with the win. 

NJIT won at second and third doubles to take a 1-0 match lead before sweeping through singles play.

Hofstra finishes out the regular season at Drexel on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match time.
