Box Score Bethlehem, PA - Hofstra swept doubles play and split six singles flights in a 4-3 win at Lehigh Wednesday evening at Ulrich Varsity Courts. Hofstra improved to 4-9 on the season with its second consecutive victory.

The Pride picked up the doubles point with wins at each flight. Mandisa Walle and Deniz Soyer posted a 6-2 victory at No. 1 over Junmoke Jame and Anushka Dania. April Sanchez and Katherine Kachkarov picked up a 6-3 win over Megha Dania and Brenda Cuadra at No.2, while Kayla Solagnier and Heidi Stein blanked Anna Harvey and Heidi Shen, 6-0, at No. 3.

Hofstra carried the momentum of its doubles sweep into singles, winning the first three completed flights to secure the match victory. Sanchez had a 6-0, 6-0 win over Cuadra at No. 3, while Kaitlyn Ferguson notched a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 over Shen. Shelly Ray had a 6-0, 6-2 win over Harvey at No. 6 to give the Pride the win. Lehigh (5-10) won the top three flights to account for the final score.

The Pride returns to action Friday at 2 p.m. versus NJIT at the Hofstra Tennis Courts.
