Schenectady, NY –
Kayla Solagnier picked up her first collegiate victory as Hofstra dropped a 6-1 decision to Siena at Central Park Monday afternoon. Hofstra fell to 0-4 on the season while Siena is now 2-1.
With just four healthy players, the Pride dropped the doubles point with a default at No. 3 followed by losses at the first two flights. Hofstra also defaulted at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles flights to trail 3-0 before losing three of the completed singles flights.
However, Solagnier won at No. 1 (6-4, 7-6) over Meagan Brown to pick up a point for the Pride and claim her first victory as a collegian.
The Pride will have nine days off before their next match, April 14 at Stony Brook.
