Hempstead, NY - Hofstra wrestling senior Charles Small has been named the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week following a great performance at the Garden State Grapple this past Saturday. Small received 73-percent of the votes in a poll conducted on the Hofstra Pride Twitter page.

Wrestling against Wisconsin's Chris Weiler, the InterMat No. 16 wrestler at 184 pounds and a three-time NCAA qualifier, Small scored two points on a takedown with 1:13 remaining in the third period and held off a takedown attempt from Weiler to secure the win.

This is the second time Small has been named the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week, after he finished fourth at the Clarion Open on November 7.

Small and the Pride will travel to Washington, D.C. on Sunday, December 5, to take on Duke at 10 a.m. and American at 1 p.m.
