Hempstead, NY - The Colonial Athletic Association will host its annual Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Leadership Summit on Thursday, June 25 via Zoom. Frankie O'Brien of the field hockey team and Cynthia Zhao of the women's golf team will represent Hofstra on the call. O'Brien serves on the Hofstra SAAC Executive Board as community service student coordinator while Zhao is a team representative.

The CAA SAAC Leadership Summit was scheduled to take place in Richmond, Virginia, over a three-day span. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the summit was moved to one day and will feature a discussion with faculty athletic representatives, the annual business meeting, as well as an opportunity for student-athletes to take part in the filming of two CAA public service announcements on voting and Black Lives Matter.

Nearly 30 student-athletes from the CAA's 10 member institutions are scheduled to participate on the call, including NCAA Division I SAAC Representative Alicia Cooperman from James Madison. CAA Commissioner Joe D'Antonio, CAA Deputy Commissioner Jennifer Condaras, CAA Director of Compliance & Student-Athlete Services Donna Parker, and CAA Assistant Commissioner of Digital Engagement and Social Promotion Jamie Greer will also take part.
