Bethlehem, PA - Ricky Stamm earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships with a fifth-place showing at 165 pounds and Zachary Knighton-Ward finished fourth at 285 pounds as the 2020 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championships came to a close at Lehigh's Stabler Arena Saturday night. The Pride finished in 10th-place in the 17-team field with 49.5 points.

While Stamm was the Pride's lone automatic qualifier, Hofstra could receive at-large consideration at 285 pounds with Knighton-Ward, at 174 with Sage Heller, who finished fifth, or at 125 with Dylan Ryder, who placed eighth. Each Hofstra wrestler finished one spot out of an auto bid at their respective weights. The Pride also got a seventh-place finish from Charles Small at 184 pounds. The five-placewinners are an EIWA-best for the Pride and the 10th-place finish was Hofstra's best since a fourth-place showing in 2013-14.

Stamm will be making his first NCAA Championship appearance.

Lehigh (154 points) won the EIWA title for the third consecutive season, recording three individual champions. Cornell (120 points) finished in the runner-up spot, with two individual winners.

At-large bids for the NCAA Championships will be announced on March 10 with brackets being released on March 11. The NCAA Championships take place March 19-21 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
