Wilmington, DE - Hofstra fell to Colonial Athletic Association rival Delaware, 6-1, Friday at Delcastle Tennis Center. The Blue Hens took the doubles point and won all five contested singles flights. Hofstra's point came as a results of a forfeit at No. 6 singles.
The Pride fell to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the CAA with their third consecutive loss. Delaware moved to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in league action.
Delaware won all but one of the flights in straight sets.
Odessa Stork won the first set for Hofstra in her no. 5 singles match against Viva Laas, 6-3 before dropping the next two sets, 6-1 and 11-9.
Hofstra is back in action next Saturday at Colgate.
