Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University Department of Athletics has announced that "Virtual Season Tickets" for men's and women's basketball and digital sponsorship opportunities for the basketball seasons in the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex are now available.
The virtual season ticket package offers fans an exclusive inside look of the basketball programs, unique game day experiences, and behind the scenes footage all from the comfort of your own home. In addition, your purchase of virtual season tickets secures your seats for the 2021-22 seasons! Key elements of the package include:
- Pride Fan cutouts in the seats during home games
- Exclusive season ticket holder gift: 2020 Men's Basketball CAA Championship Hat
- Private online hub for exclusive content
- Film room breakdown and Pregame Chalk Talk sessions of select opponents
- Hofstra basketball virtual game watch parties
- Pregame and halftime shows with special guests and performances
- In-game discussion threads to interact with fellow season ticket holders before the game
- In-game virtual programs
- Behind the scenes footage from the team all year long
- All renewals will keep their 2019-20 seat locations for the 2021-22 seasons
Digital sponsorship packages are also available to promote your company or organization through the game broadcasts. These sponsorships include actual signage both static and digital in the Mack Sports Complex that will be visible to the broadcast, and promotional elements during the broadcast including "sponsored by" logo recognition, the opportunity to purchase commercial airtime during the broadcasts or have a promotional video co-created by Hofstra and its sponsors to run during the broadcast. While the non-conference and conference schedule is not yet confirmed, all Hofstra Basketball games as well as all CAA basketball games will be available to stream through a subscription with FloSports.
"It is our hope that we are able to have fans in person at the Mack Sports Complex this season," commented Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. "However, at this time, we are planning for not being able to have fans due to New York State and University safety guidelines and are excited to still offer a variety of options to engage our fan base in new ways."
While we are excited to unveil these new opportunities for fans, there are two other possible scenarios that may happen. If we are allowed to have fans at a certain capacity, we will communicate how we will prioritize who has access to these seats and our safety plan for fans in the Mack Sports Complex. The other scenario is if the season unfortunately gets canceled. If this is the case, and you purchased a virtual season ticket, group package or sponsorship package, you will be contacted by a member of the marketing/ticketing staff to discuss options of prorated refunds or ways to donate your remaining sum. Please note that the Pride Fan Cutouts will be non-refundable, and if the season is canceled you will have the option of keeping your cutout.
We look forward to navigating these uncharted waters with you and doing whatever we can to make this season special for our Hofstra fans.
