Hempstead, NY - Hofstra senior Desure Buie has been named to the Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch List. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.

Buie has led Hofstra (13-5, 4-1 CAA) this season in a multitude of categories. He is averaging 19.1 points, 5.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game. Buie leads the Pride in scoring, assists, and steals, while starting all 18 games and averaging 35.6 minutes per outing. He recently poured in a career-high 44 points in the Pride's victory over Elon this past Saturday and had 23 points in Hofstra's win over Northeastern on Thursday. 

The 2019-20 Lou Henson National Player of the Year Award will be announced in April 2020 in Atlanta, GA, site of the men's Division I NCAA Basketball Championship.
