MLAX: NCAA Championship Brackets Announced As Quarterfinals Return To Hofstra

Hempstead, NY – For the 11th time since 1997, Hofstra University will serve as host site of one of the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship Quarterfinal doubleheaders on Saturday, May 18 as the 2019 field was announced Sunday night.

Fans can now see which teams might be coming to Hofstra's James M. Shuart Stadium for two exciting NCAA Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinal contests at noon and 2:30 p.m. 

The unveiling of the 2019 NCAA Championship bracket announced the first round match-up that will feed into Shuart Stadium for the quarterfinals. The winner of second-seed Duke (11-4) versus Richmond (10-6) will face the winner of seventh-seed Notre Dame (8-6) against Johns Hopkins (8-7) in one quarterfinal contest while the winner of third-seed Virginia (13-3) versus Robert Morris (9-7) will face the winner of sixth-seed Towson (11-4) against Maryland (11-4) in the other quarterfinal match-up. 

Reserved chairback seats, while they last, are priced at $40. General admission seating is $30 for adults and $20 for youth/students/seniors (62+). Reserved parking passes are also on sale for $20 (one per every four tickets ordered), with north campus parking available for $15 on game day. Tickets can be purchased online at HofstraTickets.com, by telephone by calling (516) HOF-TIXX, or in-person by visiting the Hofstra Athletics Box Office in the lobby of the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex during normal business hours
 
Special group pricing is also available for groups of 20 or more. In addition, large groups have the opportunity to purchase limited tailgating space in advance of the event. To do so, contact Mike Neely at michael.p.neely@hofstra.edu or (516) 463-9522.

In addition, reserved parking on the south side of campus (closest to Shuart Stadium) WILL sell out soon so we urge you to purchase your tickets and reserved parking passes soon. There will be additional parking located on Hofstra's north campus and Shuart Stadium will be easily accessible using the pedestrian bridge located at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike, Earle Ovington Boulevard and Uniondale Avenue. 

Hofstra University is one of the two sites for the 2019 NCAA Championship Quarterfinals, with Fairfield University hosting the Northern Quarterfinal at the University of Connecticut's Rentschler Field on Sunday, May 19. The eventual national champion has come through Hofstra in seven of the previous 10 quarterfinals. Hofstra will host the quarterfinals each year through 2022.
