Vestal, NY – Hofstra sophomore
Ricky Stamm placed seventh in the 115th Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championships at Binghamton University's Events Center Saturday evening.
Stamm, a 174-pounder from Levittown, New York, wrestled twice on Saturday going 1-1 to make the trip to the victory stand. Stamm, the ninth-seed at 174, opened the day with a 9-4 loss to the fifth-seed Vincent Deprez from Binghamton in the third round of the consolations. He would then defeat the eighth-seed Max Elling from Columbia, 6-1 for the second time in the Championship. Stamm posted an identical 6-1 win over Elling in the first round of the tournament on Friday. Stamm finishes up the season with a 21-14 record.
In the final team standings, the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh defended their EIWA Championship that they won at Hofstra in 2018 by topping Cornell, 153-139. Princeton finished third with 122.5 points while Army West Point (106.5) and Navy (92.5) rounded out the top five in the 16-team championship. Hofstra finished in 15th-place with 10 points.

- Stamm is the 15th Hofstra wrestler to place in the EIWA Championships in the Pride's six-year history in the conference.
- Lehigh finished with three individual champions as did Cornell
- The Mountain Hawks of Lehigh captured their 36th EIWA title in the conference's 115-year history. This was Lehigh's 107th EIWA tournament.
- Cornell sophomore Yianni Diakomihalis was named the EIWA Championship Outstanding Wrestler. Army West Point's Kevin Ward was selected the EIWA Coach of the Year.
