Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Director of Athletics
Rick Cole Jr. announced today several staff changes to further reflect the job responsibilities of members of the administrative staff.
Jay Artinian - Deputy Director of Athletics and Chief Revenue Officer
Chrissy Arnone - Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing and Strategic Partnerships
Kevin Barry - Associate Director of Athletics for Athletic Development
Ryan Watson - Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities
Michael Neely - Assistant Director of Athletics for Fan Engagement
"I am thrilled to make these administrative staff changes," commented Cole. "During my first few months here at Hofstra I have quickly noticed the outstanding work that our administrative staff does on a daily basis. These title changes will allow everyone in the Hofstra community and beyond to more easily understand the roles and responsibilities of these five individuals. I have enjoyed working with them and look for many more fruitful days ahead."
Artinian will continue in his role as deputy director of athletics with expanded duties as the chief revenue officer. He will oversee all external areas in athletics.
Arnone, who has previously overseen all marketing and promotions, will now move into a marketing and strategic partnerships role and will oversee all corporate sponsorships.
Barry, who has overseen the development area in athletics since 2016, will see a title change to more accurately reflect his role within the athletics umbrella.
Watson, who has worked at Hofstra since 2006, has been promoted to associate director of athletics for facilities. He oversees all the athletic facilities on campus.
Neely, who has served as the department's director of ticket sales on two separate occasions, has been promoted to assistant director of athletics for fan engagement.
